Sanjay comes back with his previous film’s lead pair and the movie’s trailer created more expectations with its exotic visuals and action choreography. So lets see whether Bajirao creates interest like Ramleela.

The film opens with Bajirao (Ranveer) been appointed as Peshwa of the Maratha empire. He is survived by his wife Kashibai (Priyanka). After 10 years, a messenger from a distant land seeks help of Bajirao to save their kingdom. The messenger is none other than Mastani (Deepika). Ranveer helps Deepika and her kingdom and saves it. He returns back to Pune and Mastani too reach there after few days as she is attracted by Bajirao. What follows is how the half Muslim and half Rajput princess and Bajirao gets united amidst loud discourage from Bajirao’s mother. Whether they unite or not and what happens to Kashibai forms the rest.

Movie doesn’t leave much room for complaint. The story sucks you in from the first frame, and stays that way till the interval. Post that, the pace slackens here and there but the performances keeps you glued to the screen. But few parts of the movie looks dramatic mainly towards the end and the climax which looks artificial. Ranveer Singh is outstanding and one can easily identify Bajirao through him with his stunning looks and action. Deepika looks mesmerizing throughout the film and her performance is worth as the film. Priyanka may have not got much screen space, but even in that little time, she is a treat to watch.

The entire art department, costumes, make up, production design everything have well cooperated the director. Sudeep’s each and every frame is breathtaking. Be it the war scenes or the romance or the feel of missing everything comes intact as the visuals. Sanjay has improved his mettle as the music director this time and his BGM’s are passable. Overall, the movie is a must watch for the story, mind-boggling performance and the real love between a king and his all time lovable girl..!! šŸ™‚
