Aadhalal Kaadhal Seiveer (TAMIL) – Hence you should love
Starring: Santhosh(intro), Manisha, Arjun, Jayaprakash, Poornima Bhagyaraj , Thulasi and many more
Written (partly) and Directed by : Suseendran
First a big hats off to the director..!! A brave attempt and very first of its kind in tamil film industry. That too after giving a very heavy commercial debacle in the form of ‘Raajapaatai‘, the director bounced back with a heavy script as his input with support from new comers and with his own investment. Yes this is his own production too. Thanks to Red Giant movies for releasing such a heavy romantic drama film. 🙂
Story – Not much. Usual love story. Friends gang. One guy (obviously the hero) loves a girl in the gang (yes that’s the heroine). It starts as one side but ends as mutual. A few sentimental and romantic dialogues and few action stunts makes it happen. They go for outing and they make love. What happens next forms the remaining.
First half – A very good and enjoyable,at times, first half. Few good dialogues delivered by Arjun, the leader who gives love tips, is enjoyable. But the dialogues are really enjoyable. Arjun (the fatso who stole the screen in ‘Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Eppadi‘) performs his job very well. A look alike of SV.Sekhar, he has plenty of talent. A guy to watch out.. Interval block really shocked me as i never seen such things been shown in any of the Indian films.
Second half – Not fair to reveal it and also the climax. But really tremendous job done by all the characters who comes in the second half. Thulasi (mother of the heroine) and Jayaprakash (heroine’s father) gets a big applause.
The hero is the real bad choice when compared to the heroine who performs really well given her character in the film. Camera is normal and apt which does its part for this type of films. Editing deserves a special mention as the entire film is just about 1 hours and 40 minutes. Finally comes Yuvan. Director and him takes the entire film to the next , next and very next level. In this alone i hate the Hindi film industry where the songs are scored by one music composer and BGM is taken care by someone. Yuvan’s RR is especially very good. Suseendran believed him and he delivered his best. Susee you are great.. Red carpet comeback for him, which proved his art of story telling once again with this film. Cheers to him again.. Lets forget ‘Raajapaatai‘ now at least.. 😉
(PS: I request all the audio labels who releases the soundtracks of films, to release the BGM’s too. Many of the film lovers definitely in need of those precious BGM’s like the one’s which Yuvan scored in this film. Guess Sony, Think Music will think on this.. 🙂 🙂 )
